Emma Readhead
Bachelor of Podiatry (Honours)

Emma is passionate about supporting children’s foot and ankle health. She has extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of biomechanical alignment of the lower limb and general foot conditions. This includes exercise therapy, prescription of orthotics (including AFOs and SMOs), footwear recommendations, activity advice and general education to support the development of a healthy lower limb. She loves working with paediatric conditions such as Cerebral Palsy, neurological and neuromuscular conditions, hypermobility and rare genetic conditions. 

Emma believes that a close and personal working relationship with professionals including specialists, doctors and other allied health team leads to the best outcomes to support the individual child. She uses best practice intervention techniques to enhance therapy outcomes to allow children to achieve their best potential.  

She currently works across both Canberra Children’s Physiotherapy’s Toe Walking Clinic and Orthopaedics ACT.

In her spare time, Emma can be found hiking a local mountain, camping, paddleboarding and hunting for the best Asian-fusion cuisine around the city.
